Oh man, it's hard to stay updated on this blogging stuff, I mean I thought it would be easy for me to take some time out of each week to drill out a good page of writing for you guys, but man it's difficult, it's hard to find time to write here on a regular basis, but shit I try so I'm back haha.

Just to let you know this mixtape was my blood sweat and tears, I basically took in everything I felt and expressed it through music this is what I live for and for me there's nothing more satisfying than a fan or someone that digs my music and can relate. I just want to reach out and let the world know, hey it doesn't matter if your white, black, or brown, you can do this, we all think that there is a certain criteria to rapping, there isn't. Believe me I'm not proud of being arrested or anything of that sort, so you can live your life clean and trouble free and still spit rhymes for the masses. That's hip hop.

I took this mixtape from an idea to words over 72 hours it was one weeked where I said I had to do it, it had been too long and I definitely needed to drop something for a lot of people that liked my music and such. Right now I'm on a roll with this music and I hope I can keep it going and just spit like an automatic cannon. Fast and deadly. Yeah. But it's just so you know I can keep the rhymes fresh whenever, that's my goal. I took a lot of pain struggle and problems I went through in the last 6 months of my life and put it together into an audible way for you to understand who I am as a person and why I do this. Sure there are a couple of party tracks, but don't be fooled that's what I feel like my life is 10 percent of the time, livin my life, trying to have fun do whatever. That's why you rap that. Not for club spins.

But shit I gotta roll, if you copped the mixtape album or even took a look at the myspace, get at me on facebook or myspace, I'll always comment back or reply to messages because the people is who I do this for and nothing makes me more happier than to know you like my music.

So here we are. I decided at work one day I'm going to start a blog. So many minutes of the day I waste why not do a little creative writing, some research, throw a little humor in, and sprinkle all that good stuff. And then I give it my own touch.

What is this blog about, and what the hell is Azzamination??? That's probably the first question you're going at ask yourself when you see the blog. Of course that means it's by me, Azzam. But a little background on the name some people don't know about. To start off in 7th grade one of my good buddies CJ and I were kind of kicking it during math class, we were out in the hall supposed to be working on Pre-algebra, something like that. Math didn't really phase us so we just messed around, my mom saw what that brought me (sorry ma). We were thinking of nicknames for each other and the dialogue went a little like this:

CJ: So what does your name mean?
Me: Uhh...I think it's arabic for determined or something...why?
CJ: I don't know thought it could help with this..
Me: This is going nowhere let's figure out these isoceles triangles
CJ: No screw that she isn't even grading them.
Me: oh yeah haha, no doubt let's just chill then
CJ: Azzamination
Me: what?
CJ: TOTAL AZZAMINATION *puts a fist up*
Me: I like that. that's good right there.
CJ: Tell the world baby
Me: Determination = Azzamination. That's good math

That's pretty much how it started. REAL interesting right? I don't know if that's historically accurate but went something like that.

But regarding this blog, I really couldn't figure out whether I wanted to do a blog on Hip Hop, local artists, or just my life in general. So I mashed up everythign into my world. Azzamination. And this is where you'll hear it, whether it's crazy nights out or putting it down for my local artists like The Team (my boys J Blue, Haze, Tres to the mo'fuckin Deus myspace.com/614cg), my boy Billy Darby aka Kahmal at myspace.com/kahmalmusic you can't play with the Columbus scene. And of course make sure you check out some of my my stuff, hasn't been updated in a while cuz of school, but the track "Look at Me" is fairly new (myspace.com/mcmazmc).

That's what this blog is going to be about. Anything I find interesting about my daily life that will make you laugh or smile. Take you through the good times and the rough times. And keep you posted on that Columbus Hip Hop Scene...and the global hip hop scene..
